What is Domiciliary Care?

Mary had just turned ninety years old and was finding it increasingly difficult to manage on her own. Her family had been urging her to consider moving to a nursing home, but she didn't want to leave her home and the familiar surroundings that she loved.

One day, Mary's daughter suggested that she look into domiciliary care, a service that could provide her with support and assistance in her own home. After some research, Mary decided to give it a try.

She was surprised by how much domiciliary care improved her quality of life. From helping her with personal care to cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation, her carers provided her with all the help she needed to maintain her independence.

But domiciliary care wasn't just about practical assistance. The carers also provided companionship, reassurance, and emotional support. Mary felt less isolated and alone, and her mental health improved as a result.

With the help of the domiciliary care team, Mary felt more confident and secure in her home. She knew that if she needed help, assistance was just a phone call away. And best of all, she didn't have to leave her beloved home.

As she aged, Mary's needs grew, but domiciliary care adapted to her changing circumstances. She received more help with mobility and medication management, and her carers always made sure that she was safe and comfortable.

For Mary, domiciliary care was a lifeline. It allowed her to maintain her independence, stay in her own home, and live her life on her own terms. It wasn't long before her family noticed a significant improvement in her well-being and quality of life too.

In the end, Mary lived a long and happy life, surrounded by the people and things that she loved. And it was all thanks to the countless benefits of domiciliary care.

Keeping you independent at home

Our service is totally flexible, with help from only once a week, to several visits a day or even continuous round the clock care.

From support with your medication and going to the toilet, through to making your favourite meal, and assisting with a bath or shower, our service lets you continue to be at home where you feel most comfortable and safe.

We will assign a small team of dedicated carers to you - a team that will get to know you and whom you can trust to work with you and assist with your daily living activities. We will regularly review your care plan and carry out supervisions with the carers we send you so that we can respond to any changes and arrange for extra support if needed.

We operate an ECM (Electronic Call Monitoring) system which gives each care worker a live rota on their NFC enabled mobile handset. Their actual time of arrival and departure is fed back to us in real time allowing us to monitor their timekeeping. This also ensures accurate data for invoicing. It also ensures data protection and lone worker safety.

We offer clients or their supporter the ability via an internet enabled device to view their visits online. When you login you can stay informed of the calls you are receiving with scheduled times and the carer's name. The link is on the Client Portal page.

Free, no obligation home assessment

A close relative, partner or friend initially contacts us because they are worried or concerned that a loved one isn’t coping, either because of an illness, a fall or because they have realised that they just can’t manage on their own.

Many people find these situations stressful and don’t know what to do next and have to take into consideration the opinions of other family members, and sometimes the reluctance of the person who needs help. We can talk you through all the care options, explain the costs, and make suggestions so that the whole process is not as daunting as you may believe.

Once we receive your initial enquiry we can provide an estimate of our charges, send you an information pack and book a no obligation free home assessment.

At the assessment we will discuss with you the level of support you require and understand your expectations. If you decide to go ahead we will prepare your individual care plan. This document will detail all of your needs, from medication to mobility, your routines, likes and dislikes.

After the care plan has been produced we can begin the service. We will source the right carer based on your preferences and if you wish for added peace of mind, arrange for you to meet them before the care begins.
